Andrew O’Day joined the Vine Solutions team as a client advisor in 2018. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from UCSD before accepting his first restaurant manager position with the Chart House group. A few years later he decided to get involved with the California Pizza Kitchen in their early years. After a combined six years in multi-unit operations, Andrew moved to San Francisco, where he accepted his first general management position with Michel Richard’s Northern California outpost, Bistro M. Once exposed to chef driven restaurants, this became his path, managing over the years at Restaurant Gary Danko, La Folie, Left Bank group, Kokkari, The Village Pub, and Spruce. He continued his education by studying wine through the Court of Master Sommeliers, and enrolling in the culinary department at San Francisco City College. Before joining Vine Solutions Andrew was the director of operations for DOSA restaurants. In addition to management roles, Andrew has been a guest speaker at the Culinary Institute of America, and has consulted on various Bay Area restaurant projects. Andrew’s passion now is helping restaurants to become, and stay, profitable. His expertise in dining room operations has proven helpful with a number of Vine clients. Outside of restaurant life, Andrew enjoys surfing and is an enthusiastic local sports fan. He currently resides in the East Bay with his wife Saundra and their two daughters.
