With his deep roots in the Hospitality Industry and wealth of experience as a Vine Solutions Advisor and Consultant, Chris strives to make sure that 'Everyone is Happy', a task as easy in the restaurant accounting world as it is in an actual restaurant. In other words, Chris loves the challenge of attending to details in a business where every single detail matters.
The path that has enabled Chris to meet this high level task started when, for the first and only time in his life, he decided not to listen to his wife, Amanda. Instead of taking a job as a Silicon Valley corporate recruiter, Chris decided to jump in to restaurant management. From the start, Chris was drawn to the energy and fast paced environment of the Industry. Before he knew it, he had worked his way up through front of house positions to management and then to regional management. Along the way he has participated in every aspect of what it takes to run a successful operation, from restaurant design to managing restaurant openings to staff training to deep-dive problem solving to turn around problem restaurants. The piece that he has found particularly rewarding in this journey is training others to exceed expectations, which is his goal as a Senior Advisor with Vine Solutions. From understanding Prime Cost to recognizing the impact of guest check average on the overall health of restaurant margins, Chris strives to impart his wealth of knowledge on clients, their teams, and those that he works with every day.
Chris is especially enthusiastic about finding solutions to the unique problems facing every restaurant and watching the progress as solutions are implemented. "Having a client trust and value our advice", says Chris, "is the ultimate reward". When not working with his clients Chris may be found scouring record stores for rare vinyl, enjoying live music, or exploring the Bay Area with his wife and dogs.
