Mason’s career began over two decades ago. At age eight, he was creating menus and cooking meals from scratch in his parent’s suburban Chicago kitchen. In recent years, he founded a cafe concept and has worked for several highly recognized restaurants.

His first-ever restaurant job was at age sixteen, serving up concessions at an upscale outdoor music venue. Finding passion within the industry, Mason went on to spend several years with Chicago-based Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, working at famed restaurants Wildfire, RJ Grunts, Summer House, and RPM Italian. He also spent time alongside Michelin-starred Chef Giuseppe Tentori at BOKA Restaurant Group.

Mason attended DePaul University’s College of Business prior to receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Kendall College, a well-respected culinary and hospitality institution in Chicago. He also holds a Level II Certified Sommelier certification from The Court of Master Sommeliers.

In his early twenties, Mason created, operated, and grew a healthful multi-location quick-service concept called GRAZE. He fueled his passion for food through the creation of Chicago’s best acai bowls, superfood smoothies, toasts, and salads. As an avid fitness lover, and certified instructor, Mason has always sought to cultivate awareness of body-positivity through community connection and “damn good” sustenance.

In 2020, Mason relocated to Los Angeles and consulted for LA institutions The Apple Pan and Nate’n Al’s Deli in Beverly Hills.

Mason is the definition of a “young gun,” tenaciously leading, guiding, and assisting a team. He is a creative, modern, technology-driven, and solutions-oriented operator, who aspires to provide efficiency and a fresh perspective towards all of his professional endeavors.

Mason considers himself a car enthusiast, lover of great food and wine, and a proud West Hollywood resident.
